Jan Cabri, Prof. Dr.

Jan Cabri has a Bachelor (1982) and Masters (1984) degree in Physical Therapy.

He received his PhD in Physical Therapy and Motor Rehabilitation Sciences in 1989 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium).

 

He was appointed associate professor in sports medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the aforementioned university in 1992. From 1996 to 2009 he was a visiting professor at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Human Kinetics (Portugal).

From 2009 to 2014 he acted as the Head of the Department of Physical Performance at the Norwegian School of Sport and Physical Sciences (Norway) where he is professor in biomechanics.

His research interests are mainly in applied (sport) biomechanics and kinesiologic electromyography.

He is the Secretary of the Scientific Board of the European College of Sports Science and a member of the World Commission of Sport Science, Science and Football Steering Group. Furthermore, he serves as Section editor in the European Journal of Sport Science.
